Description

Scarce brass framed  7-shot rimfire revolver clearly marked with the earliest Smith and Wesson barrel stamping.  The walnut grips are original and in fine overall condition.   The single action hammer cocks and holds but the cylinder free spins at times, not unusual for these old pieces. 3 1/8” barrel and spur trigger mechanism.  This pistol is typical of private purchase weapons often carried by soldiers in the field. No special license or permits required as it was manufactured long before 1898.
