Description
Wonderful 6th plate ambrotype of Rebel soldier Eli Franklin who served in the 1st Regiment, South Carolina Volunteers. Eli is pictured in civilian garb holding a Colt Root pistol across his chest. In the same case is an image of his wife. This grouping came directly from the descendants and a brief hand written family genealogy is included. The case itself is a fine gutta percha example as shown.
