Description

Solid good circulated overall condition as issued by the US Treasury and secured with SILVER bullion held on deposit, unlike currency today.  It was issued from the US Mint in Washington, DC, during WWII.

Known as a “yellow seal” Silver Certificate, this historic World War II note is now highly prized by collectors. These special Series 1934A $5 notes were only printed and released once and issued for Operations Torch and Huskey, the Allied invasions of North Africa and Sicily.

Each note bears the Julian-Morgenthau signatures, and the yellow Treasury seal, instead of blue, assuring instant recognition in the event of enemy defeats and/or capture of large quantities of cash. The $10 invasion notes that aided war efforts in North Africa and Europe are extremely rare and should be added to your collection today!
