Description
Exceptionally fine examples of a matched pair of Navy style single shot flintlock pistols as manufactured by William Taylor of London, England, circa 1795-1810. The pistols each measure approximately 13.5″ overall with smoothbore 7-7/8″ brass barrels. Both function flawlessly and have fabulous looking English walnut grained wood with gentle hand carved embellishments. The bore is .50 caliber on each. These weapons were used by both civilian and military ship captains and command crew primarily in the War of 1812 era.
