Description
Not a pattern easily found and a must for any serious Civil War sword collection. Once residing in the well known collection of Kevin Hoffman, this is a very good overall condition sword with very crisp blade etching including the US motif. The maker is unfamiliar to me, but is European. Many blades from 1820 onwards were imported by firms such as Horstmann and detailed and mounted in the United States. This is the only example we have seen on the market in over 15 years.
