Description
The mainship for Colt from 1849, the small .31 caliber single action percussion revolver known as the Colt Pocket Model saw use all over the world. In the US, they were carried by Confederate and Union soldiers, shopkeepers, stage coach passengers and drivers any anybody else who wanted a weapon small enough to conceal but big enough to protect the carrier. This example shows honest wear and use and is serial number 318267 (manufactured in 1869). A fine addition to any antique handgun display! The wedge is a bit loose but overall the action is solid and the markings crisp.
