Description
This is a fine example of the standard Union Army type sword sash woven in a wider pattern than comparable officer grade sashes. It is a blend of wool and silk and in fine condition overall. The Non Commissioned Officer type is much more difficult to locate than the more common officer patterns. This type of sash was also worn by militia officers of lower rank, i.e., Lieutenants.
