Description

Fine example of the standard pattern US Chaplain’s sword from 1855-1865, so could have been used by a Southern or Northern military chaplain.  No scabbard.  This example is 3/4 etched with US, scrolls, E. Pluribus Unum, etc. and has silver slab grips.  No Civil War edged weapons collection is complete without one!  The kidney guard is a tiny bit loose, but otherwise, very solid and honest example as made by Clauberg of Solingen, Germany, and imported to the US.
