Very rare Confederate Civil War Maryland oval belt plate recovered in the late 1860s from the Antietam (Sharpsburg) Maryland battlefield. This buckle, documented as found on the Stull Farm, is one of the few of the pattern known recovered from any battle area–and one of even less known from the bloody fields of Antietam. Museum and investment grade all the way, and an ultimate rarity for the Maryland collector.
