This is an absolutely stunning 100% original Civil War Confederate Virginia two piece tongue and wreath sword belt rig with partial hangers as shown. The stamped brass disc is brazed on the tongue bar and the wreath is absolutely matching. These plates were typically worn by Confederate officers from Virginia from 1861-1865 and very, very few have survived. This example surfaced at an estate sale in central Virginia several years ago and is as honest and untouched as you will ever find. PURE museum and investment grade overall and a world class addition to ANY collection.
