Description
This is a very rare relic which was recovered from a private farm in the 1990s near the Antietam Battlefield in Maryland. The face is very clear but both hooks on the reverse have long rusted away. The lead solder filler is intact and overall, it is in very nice condition and ready to go on display. It has had very minor professional repair to the filler on the reverse edge. Only a few score of these plates are known to have survived and to find one almost complete is a rarity.
