An ultimate rarity, so few of these belt plates exist on the original belts you could literally count them on your fingers and toes! 100% honest and guaranteed authentic in all respects, this fine Confederate Virginia item was once in the collection of noted collector and author Steve Mullinax of Villa Rica, Georgia. The belt is a bit stiff as you can see but it is flexible to a degree and basically solid. It has had some museum grade conservation stabilization work and would look incredible on a frock coat. The two piece interlocking Virginia state seal plate is near perfect and is simply beautiful. This is NOT one of the far more common pre-War sets but a dead on wartime example.
