Description
Scarce example, DUG, of the standard Mississippi uniform coat button from 1861-1863 as made by Hyde and Goodrich of New Orleans, with shank. This fine example was recovered from Petersburg, Virginia. The button was found on private property adjoining a known battlefield area with full permission of the owner.
