Description
This “Old Wristbreaker” pattern was widely imported by the North and the South in 1861-1862 until the national manufacturing could keep up with the needs of the military. Marked only with a Knight’s Head, this sword is typical of those imported and sold to the government on BOTH sides. It has the original grip and wire wrap, some of which shows old age wear and damage as you can see, but it attic condition and unmolested overall. It surfaced in an auction in rural eastern Tennessee only weeks ago!
