Description
Very decent example of an early 2nd Model M1937 Luftwaffe officer dagger and sheath as manufactured by SMF (Stocker and Company) circa 1938-39. The major difference in an early example vs. a later example is the gilt swastika on the pommel. This example has an above average blade and the orange composition grip has chips on the top and bottom as shown, likely from over-tightening the pommel cap. The sheath has age corrosion which will clean up nicely if so desired and the blade overall is in very high polish with crisp markings.
