This fine sword is in overall EXCELLENT condition with a perfect leather grip and brass wire plus a brilliantly bright original polished blade with incredibly crisp markings. At some point in time, believed to be in the WWII era, the scabbard was professionally finished and it looks MAGNIFICENT! This fine sword would have been delivered a few months before the Battle of Gettysburg. It even retains 100% of the original cross polish at the ricasso. Simply stunning.
