Description

Very honest original NCO sword as issued to Union Army Corporals and Sergeants in 1864. Manufactured by the PREMIERE maker, Ames Manufacturing of Chicopee, Massachusetts, and dated 1864. Crisp US inspector marks on mounts, hilt and blade. Untouched overall–just as found in an estate in Dayton, Ohio. Unfortunately, no name or unit attribution. Complimentary shipping to the lower 48 US; other areas, please enquire. The leather at the drag is broken (it happens when somebody pulls a 160+ year old sword from a leather scabbard and doesn’t hold it vertical)–it’s all there and an easy repair, if so desired.
