Description

CG4. Very honest original example of a handgun heavily carried in the Civil War by soldiers—but none were ever purchased by the US military.  All markings are crisp and the action is tight.  The bore is dirty and has pitting but is still very strong.  It is serial #35xxx indicating it was manufactured around December, 1864 to early January, 1865.  Only a very slight amount of original blue finish remains.  The 6″ barrel models, as this is,  generally command the most collector interest.
