Description

Classic example of weapon manufactured in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts in the early to mid-19th century (1830s to 1860s).  This one needs a mainspring and some tinkering as well as a ramrod (typically just made of wood).  It shares many traits with a Ruggles, Pike (both Connecticut) or Gibbs, Tiffany & Co. of Sturbridge, Massachusetts.  I see no obvious  maker marks, which is normal for these weapons.  When complete, these scarce handguns typically retail from $1,100 to $2,000+ on the collector market.
