Description
CG5. To keep pace with the demand for handguns at the outbreak of the Civil War, Smith and Wesson contracted with Rollin White to manufacture weapons for them. This is a very nice original example of a transitional Smith and Wesson #1 to Model 1 ½ and dates to around March of 1861. It is a seven shot .22 rimfire revolver retaining 90% original finish and near perfect rosewood grips. The center pin has been replaced.
