Description

This is a very well marked 100% original US M1832 by Ames of Springfield, Massachusetts, 1838.  The scabbard and white buff throg are original as manufactured in 1838 and the belt rig is a standard US M1855 type adapted for use.  All markings are strong and clear and everything is in far above average condition overall.  This weapon would have seen service in both the Mexican and Civil Wars!  Would be awesome displayed with a Civil War artillery shell jacket!
