Description
A fine example of the standard sword issued to Union non commissioned officers—with clear maker and inspector marks. The blade is 95%+ bright and clean and the leather scabbard is in solid condition. It was manufactured under US Government contract by Ames Manufacturing Company of Chicopee, Massachusetts (the most prolific of all American makers in the era).
