Fine example of this very, very rare DUG Confederate staff officer uniform button in a beyond rare size—vest (note error penny shown to indicate size—not included with button). Original shank is intact but bent over as shown. Backmarked Isaacs & Campbell, this is an early War blockade runner import from England and of a size seldom, if ever, seen on the collector market. This fine Confederate uniform button was recovered from private property with the full permission of the owner from an area known involved in the Battle of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
