Description
A very nice example of the most common cavalry enlisted sword used by Union cavalry in the field, this very nice example has light but visible maker, inspection and date marks. The grip is original as is the wire wrap and scabbard. Manufactured in 1865 by Ames of Chicopee, Massachusetts, this Federal contract sabre is the very last of its kind ever produced!
