Description
Very honest little folding trigger pocket revolver recently found in a Civil War rifle musket cartridge box! The tins were removed and this small pistol tucked inside. Unfortunately, no other history. It appear the ejector rod is missing but other than that, it functions as it should. This type of pistol was used extensively beginning in the 1850s throughout the WW1 era and many were imported to the US prior to and during the Civil War. No maker marks are present which is common for the pattern. They were mainly made in France and Belgium but some were also Spanish in origin.
