Description
Not much larger than the Model 1849 Pocket Model Colt, the Model 1862 Pocket Police was manufactured in .36 caliber and had fluted cylinders. This one was made in late 1861 (Serial #4853). Very popular with Civil War officers and enlistedmen, this crisp example is well marked and surfaced in an old collection in eastern Virginia.
