The 1852 Three-Cent Silver coin, also known as a “trime,” was minted in limited quantities and is notable for being one of the lightest coins produced by the U.S. Mint. It contains 75% silver and 25% copper, and is highly sought after by collectors due to its unique design and historical significance.

 

This coin was recovered in a Confederate camp in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and is in amazing condition for being 170+ years old!  A rarity, dug!
