Description
This fine blockade run English infantry weapon was one of the first 50,000 Tower Enfields imported into the Confederacy in 1861. It is in .58 caliber (bore marking 24-24) instead of the more common .577 (25-25). It has the deeply impressed viewer marks of Sinclair Hamilton Company which was the primary exported of these weapons from England to the South. It retains the original nipple protector and chain, too, and is in fine mechanical condition overall. Museum and serious collector grade all the way.
