Description
The mainstay combat weapon of the Union infantry from 1863-1865, this standard armory Type II M1863 .58 minie ball rifle musket exhibits all original parts, decent bore, original ramrod and clear and crisp maker and inspector marks overall. It has obviously seen field use but has an overall mellow gray brown patina now. The lock functions properly and the lock is dated 1864. A very solid original and authentic example.
