Description
Manufactured by Whitney Firearms, this .36 percussion pistol is a close copy of the Remington “Navy” pattern revolver and was produced circa 1862. Many of these were purchased by soldiers in the field but there were only state contracts for the pistols (other than for the marked Navy-Navies). The action is good but the barrel markings are a bit weak (still partially legible on the top of the barrel). If you want a solid example for a great price on an original Civil War handgun, look no further.
