Description
This is a fine example of the 1935 pattern Luftwaffe four-pocket tunic (Waffenrock) as intended for a ‘Feldwebel der Flieger’. The tunic features a vertical, four button front closure.. The right breast has a very nice quality machine embroidered breast eagle neatly hand stitched to the tunic. A pair of yellow colored collar tabs, both having three rank gulls applied, is nicely machine sewn to the collar. The silver NCO (non-commissioned officer) braid is machine sewn around the collar. The tunic is has shoulder boards of the sewn-in type having the golden yellow ‘Waffenfarbe’ indicating a Feldwebel within a ‘Flieger’ unit.
This tunic is named to the soldier and his unit inside as shown in the images. There is what appears to be a legitimate blood stain in the back, but there are no holes visible in the tunic.
