Description

This is a near MINT example of the most famous of US WW2 pistols, the mighty .45 acp semi automatic designed by Colt. When Colt couldn’t keep up with production demand, they turned to other high quality manufacturers to fill the void. This example retains 97%+ original parkerized finish overall and only has minor areas of blemish, as shown in the images. The action is flawless and the bore, near mint. The quality of the Remington Rand was as good or better than any production Colt or other contract. The factory checkered grips are likewise excellent. This weapon surfaced in an estate of a retired US Army WWII field combat officer in Wisconsin who served in Europe from 1943-1945 but the family has chosen not to release his name, as he sort of likely brought this one home when he mustered out….FFL transfer or C&R license required for purchase and transfer—no exceptions.
