Description
This beautiful Virginia style CSA buckle is fresh out of a very old collection and is believed to have come off of a Gettysburg relic board display as the protruding hooks have been neatly ground off. It is very similar to an example that was a John Rosensteel “Round Top Museum” relic case that sold at auction many decades ago, but the old images are too blurry to be 100% positive.
What is 100% positive is that it is an original VIrginia style CSA rectangle plate in superb condition, clearly being either non-dug or a very early battlefield pickup.
