Description
Really an exceptional example just as purchased directly from the estate of a local WWII combat GI who sent this gem back home in 1944 from France! This beautiful handgun retains a generous 97%+ original finish overall and all external visible numbers match. All markings are clear and crisp and the action is tight and flawless. The magazine is original, too. The brown bakelite grips likewise are near mint. It would be difficult to find one much nicer. As with any weapon over 20 years old, it is NOT warranted safe to fire–take it to a competent gunsmith to be checked out first!
The P38 was the standard handgun of the German military in WWII, NOT the P08 Luger–the P38 is an incredible handgun even today. Extremely accurate and surefire in all respects–this one is pure museum/hard core collector grade overall.
FFL or C&R license required for transfer–no exceptions. Complimentary shipping to the lower 48 United States.
