Description

A beautiful early SA Dagger! The dark and crisp acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “HACO Berlin” distributor mark are both nicely executed and the fit remains nice and tight. The tip comes to a perfect point and the blade rates a solid Exc+. It shows the staining and sheath rub. The steel based, undented brown anodized scabbard is very nice with minor oxidizing. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguards in color, age patina and radii. The ball retains a nice round shape and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “B” (Gruppe Berlin-Brundenburg). The dark brown multi-toned grained hardwood grip looks great. There are the common pressure marks throughout from field use but the factory lacquer is about 95%+. No cracks, flakes or chips. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 95%+ of its enamel. This is a wonderful example of an early SA dagger suitable for any level of collector. It is classified as a rarity of 7 on a 10 scale.
