Description
Exceptional enlisted unlined sack coat from the family of Orlando Burnett, aka Samuel Joice, who served in the US military from 1866 until 1877. Original family documentation included showing Burnett served in Co. A, 80th US Volunteers, Co. G, 5th US Cavalry and also Co. I, 23rd US Infantry. Should be an interesting one to research further! The coat is a regulation pattern M1866 with original raised shield, chicken neck eagle buttons, squared off lower front and two inner pockets. Condition is fine overall.
