Description
This is a fine antebellum example of the 6″ barrel Colt in .31 caliber with all matching numbers (63449), full scene, crisp action and markings and best of all, fresh from an estate in Eastern Virginia! Family story, for what it’s worth, is that it was carried by a Confederate ancestor–but nothing firm enough to do anything but pass along the story. The pistol retails 75%+ original varnish on the walnut grips, about 55% original silver on the backstrap/triggerguard and 40% blue and case colors. A beautiful handgun, 100% original, with possible Rebel use!
