Description
This quality of haversack is seldom seen on the market anymore, especially with the original inner rice bag still intact. It has age staining as shown but overall is a solid 9+ for condition. Massachusetts issued these to militia forces only in 1861 at the outbreak of the War. By 1862, they transitioned to the standard oilcloth types for field use.
