Description

Standard pattern Model 1850 Foot Officer which was used by both Union and Confederate officers during the Civil War. This one is in relic condition and no grip covering remains. The letters “CSA” are painted in old gilt paint on the right side of the blade, which is etched. From the collection of Dr. S.C. Watkins of Atlanta, Georgia (many of his collectibles were purchased many decades ago by Beverly DuBose, who gifted the majority of his collection to the Atlanta Historical Society).
