Description
This is a very nice example of a variant of the standard American Civil War NCO sword and is likely an antebellum era piece. The blade is elliptical which is not known on this pattern and it is also etched! I believe it to be pre-Civil War and likely the product of an unknown maker. While it has typical military motifs etched, there is no trace of a manufacturer mark at all. Worth of research!
