100% original US M1872 infantry helmet often called the pith helmet pattern. This example is complete with the original eagle plate on the front as well as the upper spike as copied during the era from European armed forces.
The body is a blend of cork and cardboard so few complete examples survived as excessive water would cause them to become very weak and fragile. A perfect addition to any American military headgear display.
