Description

Patented  December 12,  1865, this is one of the more popular backup weapons of the western expansion and cowboy era, the Remington .41 set the bar for a gamblers gun or a small backup weapon.

This specimen retains 98% of the original bright nickel plating and the checkered gutta percha grips are in excellent condition, devoid of major chips or cracks and showing only light wear from actual use. The action is tight and crisp and the markings are flawless.

If you ever watched “Have Gun, Will Travel” this is the same type of backup gun that Paladin carried under his gun belt in many episodes!

These weapons easily fit in the palm of your hand (about 4 ¾” x 3” overall) and the .41 caliber round packed quite a whallop!  No special license or permits required as it was manufactured long before 1898.
