Description
Manufactured from 1862 to 1864, this Model 1 Smith and Wesson Civil War era revolver features a spur trigger, blade front and notch rear sights, 7 round un-fluted cylinder, square flared butt, blued barrel and cylinder and silver plated brass frame. The top of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS” and the cylinder is marked with the patent dates. It is fitted with varnished rosewood grips and is .22 rimfire caliber. One of the more popular secondary martial handguns of the era, these small weapons were reliable and most of all, generally waterproof!
