Description
Nice example of the light cavalry enlisted sword as manufactured in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, in early 1865. The grip retains the full leather wrap but only a few strands of the twisted brass wire remains. The blade is generally bright with few nicks or scratches to the cutting edge and the scabbard, while overall very good, has been lightly cleaned at some point in time.
