Description

This pattern of sword dates as early as 1800 and up to around 1820 and is one of a very few known with a chain guard and langets.  The original bright fire blue remains almost fully intact on the blade, as does the gilt wash.  The brass gilt mounts and scabbard retain a generous portion of the original lacquer finish as well.  This fine blade was once in the collection of noted historian and author  George Neumann as well as Bill Guthmann.
