Description
Fresh from a collection near Southport, NC, this is a fine example of a well cast American spread wing eagle masthead for a flag pole. The size is that as used in the field for infantry units. Found originally in an estate tag sale in western Massachusetts, the eagle had a verbal association with the 46th Massachusetts Volunteer Militia (Infantry) but unfortunately the owner misplaced the original documentation. Would look great in your display case or on your desk!
