Description

Exceptionally nice imported sword as used in the Civil War by both sides, this example is clearly marked Clauberg on the ricasso (who was one of the finest sword makers in Solingen, Germany in the era).  Many examples are much higher grade than this enlisted pattern, but the steel is in fine shape as is the original matching scabbard.  The grip and wire has been professionally restored to museum grade specifications.  If you want one to hang or to swing around, you won’t find a better value!
