Description
Excellent example of the standard Model 1860 US cavalry sabre of the American Civil War as manufactured by Christopher Roby, Chelmsford, Massachusetts, under direct military contract in 1864. Overall a fine example showing only minor use with a flawless brown leather grip and full double twisted brass wire wrap. All markings excellent and no major nicks to the cutting edge or any damage to the tip. Museum and investment grade overall.
