Description
This is technically a M1861 weapon but has a lockplate dated 1864 that clearly didn’t come with this particular weapon. Perhaps the original lockplate was missing or broken — it also is missing the rear sight but does have the original ramrod. A bit on the scruffy side but pretty much unmolested other than the lock and hammer assembly. It retains the M1861 style hammer. Bargain priced!
