Description
Very nice example of one of the most commonly carried blockade imported Confederate infantry weapon. This one is a beauty and fresh from an estate sale in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It is crisply dated 1862 on the lockplate and the breech is marked for 25 gauge or .577 caliber. The ramrod is original and all mechanical actions function crisply. The wood is far above average and is free of major cracks or any breaks. If you are looking for an Enfield that could just as easily be Confederate as Union used, here you go! Priced well below market for a weapon of this date and condition overall.
